Getting to Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation

A little bit about our wedding venue

We’re getting married in Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort—a private island in the heart of the Davao Gulf. “Lubi” means coconut in several Filipino dialects, and the resort is named after the coconut plantation that covers half the island.

To travel to Lubi, guests will fly into Davao City. From the airport, Lubi is a 40 minute van ride and a 5 minute boat ride away. When booking your flights, we recommend planning to arrive in the morning, as waters get a little rockier in the afternoon.

Flying to Davao

 

  • Flying through Manila: Most flights from abroad will include a layover in Manila. If you have a little extra time to spare, consider flying into Manila and staying for a day or two before flying to Davao.

  • Flying direct to Davao: As of December 2024, the following airlines fly direct to Davao—

    • Doha via Qatar Airways - 3x / week (M, Th, S)

    • Singapore via Scoot - 9x / week (M-Su)

    • Hong Kong via Cebu Pacific Airlines - 4x / week (M, W, F, Su)

    • Bangkok DMK via Cebu Pacific Airlines - 5x week (M, W, F, S, Su)

Getting to Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation

From Davao International Airport, the resort will facilitate roundtrip land and sea transfers. This cost is included in the hotel package that will be extended to guests. Getting to Lubi Plantation is as simple as 1-2-3!

1: Before the trip, Share your arrival details!

Expect collection of your flight details via our RSVP form and succeeding communications so we can facilitate coordination of transport to and from the resort.

2: Upon arrival, a 40 minute van ride

Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation staff will facilitate transfers from Davao International Airport to Mabini Pindasan Port.

3: A 5-minute boat ride to Lubi!

From Mabini Pindasan Port, guests will take a quick 5 minute catamaran (speedboat) to Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Island!

Planning your Checkout and Departure

Check-out time from the resort is 12pm. We highly recommend that guests book afternoon departure flights and estimate traveling to the airport 4 hrs. before your flight.
